About prevent-headache.org

The WHO ranks headache as one of the most disabling illnesses globally. 66.7 percent of women and 53.2 percent of men in Germany get regular headaches.

Migraine, tension headache and medication overuse headache are the most common headache types. Society in general – and people who get headaches – do not usually think of headache as an illness in its own right. Most people treat their headache with over-the-counter drugs and without seeing a doctor. Very few people know what causes headaches and what they can do to prevent them. This is where our work comes in.
